Summary:
Assists certified Crane Operator in any and all job duties including moving and positioning of the crane daily to assist with the needs of the job as well as initial set up.
DUTIES AND RESPONSILBILITIES:
The Crane Operator Assistant primarily helps with anything the certified crane operator will need from set up to tear down, positioning and hand signals.
All on the job training will be provided.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Able to provide visuals signals and cues to crane operator Work easily and skillfully with hands Communicate well with others as well as ability to understand both verbal and written instructions.
Read load charts Rate information using standards that can be measured or checked.
Work with precise limits or standards of accuracy.
Knowledge of material strengths and be able to detect structural defects.
Estimate or otherwise calculate the weight of a given object.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent vision naturally or with correction.
Climb and maintain balance on ladders and high structures.
Must be able to work at heights.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year construction or rigging experience preferred Requirements Travel Required Pre-employment drug test required.
