This position is aligned to our Navy/Marine market.
The successful candidate will be our customers' point of contact for sales of replacement parts.
Excellent follow-thru, attention to detail, and communication skills are necessary to be effective in this role.
We are a small company and the ability to work within and across departments to solve problems will be critical.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Receive and respond to RFQ's from our customers for aftermarket parts.
Work within an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system to calculate costs and leadtimes Review contractual terms and conditions for compliance Read and interpret government acquisition regulations Issue quotations based on customer requirements and internal guidelines Identify and pursue market growth opportunities Enter and manage orders in our ERP system Create and maintain necessary documentation for each order Create parts lists based on engineering drawings and bills of materials Operate within an ISO 9001 framework of defined procedures and instructions Contribute to our mission of continuous improvement Cross-train on other aspects of aftermarket sales such as our overhaul and repair services Essential Skills:
Ability to read and understand detailed requests for quote and contracts Ability to communicate orally and in writing Basic technical understanding, ability to read technical drawings Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook, SharePoint, and ERP Distinguishing Skills:
Advanced Microsoft Excel Understanding of ISO 9001 requirements Demonstrated success at process improvement Background Requisites:
Associate degree or equivalent in a related field, plus one year related sales or customer service experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience Relationships:
Reports to Government Sales and Marketing Manager This position has no direct reports Physical/Environmental Conditions:
Indoor office/shop environment Physical Abilities:
Light physical daily activity with occasional moderate activity related to lab / shop areas and occasional archival filing Successful completion of a job-specific post-offer/pre-employment drug screen, physical and criminal background check required.
